Three Months in Florida

What we are doing:

Gardening:

Because we are renting until early 2023, I cannot sow into the ground; therefore, I am doing container planting. So far, things are growing from seeds and most of them are staying alive. We even have our first cucumber.

Visiting parks and bird watching:

With all the new bird sounds, it sometimes feels like we are living in Jurassic Park.

Yardwork:

[Before]

[After]

Taking pictures of flowers (weeds):

and other nature:

Going to the beach (Coquina Beach):

Seeing the sights around the neighborhood:

Some frustrating developments: since we have been doing yard work to clean up the dead foliage, our French bulldog has discovered the lizards who no longer have cover; he has already murdered several and caused two to lose their tails. When we let him outside, he chases them relentlessly. We have to drag him back into the house. I am not handling it well because the lizards are not a burden and they eat the bugs in the yard. They are so sweet and gentle. We really have to keep his time outside short.
