First two weeks in Florida

Our first two weeks in Florida were interesting. We were excited to get to our rental house in Plant City just before night fall. We packed the freezer with our meat -- yay! No more dry ice. That was such a relief. And we unpacked our vehicle and set up whatever we had for beds. My husband and I slept with bare minimum bedding on the carpeted floor for ten days, and it was not fun, to say the least.

We really like the area because it is rural, and town is fifteen to twenty minutes away. We are surrounded by grazing cattle and strawberry farms. All of the country roads are covered with tree tunnels. 🌳🌳🌳

One day we visited the Strawberry Festival. All of the food smelled delicious, but none of us were willing to try it. We had a natural disposition to eating deep fried anything.
(California does that to you!!) We did buy homemade pretzels drenched in butter.

When we were leaving, it started to pour, and a rainbow was in the sky on the way home. 🌈

I'm happy to still take pictures of the moon. It looks the same as the California moon.

One weekend we had to drive to Venice where my adult son lives and drop off the items he had left in Cali. While we were there, we saw an eagle perched on the roof of the apartments. 🦅

One observation I have been making is that birds in Florida are bigger.
These ibis are like the sparrows in California. They are numerous and travel in groups.

After ten days here in Florida, our belongings arrived. Yay!
And then it poured on and off.
My husband spent quite some time sitting in the container waiting for the rain to stop
so we could get the rest of the boxes into the house.

Though it took us three days to get everything out of the container and set up inside the house, the first thing we did on the first night of bringing in our belongings was set up our beds. Whew!!
That was so sorely needed. 😴
